Review of the Xiaomi 12 Lite

A little later than the other models in the 12 series, the Xiaomi 12 Lite is released. Aside from the entirely new, boxy, and contemporary look, it also features a superior 108MP main camera, a 120Hz OLED panel, and faster charging. The Snapdragon 778G, which is capable of handling the job, powers the phone.

One of the first Xiaomi smartphones to feature Android 12 with the brand’s MIUI 13 UI is the 12 Lite.

The selfie camera is another noteworthy update. Although it has a 32MP resolution, focusing is more crucial. These days, that is a rather uncommon function, and even the majority of flagship gadgets lack it. Since even the Xiaomi 12 and 12 Pro have identical 32MP cameras with fixed focus, we find it impressive but perplexing. Selfie enthusiasts, rejoice!

It’s encouraging to see the firm squeeze the upgrade within the €400 pricing range, especially given how much their competitors’ prices have increased. And sooner than you may anticipate, price reductions will be coming if the Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE is any indication. The Xiaomi 12 Lite appears to be aimed at a market seeking portability because there aren’t many tiny options available. In 2022, the 6.55-inch diagonal is actually quite little. The 12 Lite also features a small and lightweight design.

The Xiaomi 12 Lite is unboxed.

The item is packaged in a typical retail packaging along with the necessary 67W wall charger and user manuals. Of course, the USB-A to USB-C cable is also available and may be used for both charging and data transfer.

A clear silicone case from Xiaomi is included and does not cover up the design.
